Features of Lumix GH5S

Panasonic decides to replace the 20.3MP Micro Four Thirds Live MOS sensor which Lumix GH5 uses with an all-new oversized 10.2MP multi-aspect sensor for the Lumix GH5S. The design of the sensor in the Lumix GH5S is using an oversized design.

Meaning, this sensor is physically larger than a normal Micro Four Thirds sensor which is used by the previous generation. With this sensor, Lumix GH5S can allow you to shoot at different aspect ratios and you can still use the full width of the imaging circle projected by the lens.

Lumix GH5S Dimensions

With this Panasonic Lumix GH5S, you can record both Full HD and 4K video with no time limit. Moreover, not only Lumix GH5S complies with 4K HDR video with Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) mode in Photo Style, the Lumix GH5S can also record 4:2:2 10-bit 400Mbps All-Intra in 4K (at 30p/25p/24p), Cinema 4K (24p), and All-Intra in Full HD.

The Lumix GH5S is also compatible with Timecode In/out. Meaning, it will make it easier for you to synchronize multiple compatible devices when filming. There is also a coaxial cable for the BNC terminal which connects to the flash sync camera.

This will allow the camera to be used as a Timecode generator. Lastly, Lumix GH5S also has Live View Boost to increase the sensitivity of the Live View and a night mode which features a red interface so that you can shoot easily in poor light.
